Congo 50-Year Commemoration
November 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the deaths of 19 UFM martyrs (four of whom served with UFM North America, now Crossworld) during the Simba rebellion in Congo.
But the story in Congo is far from over. Though the rebellion took thousands of lives, God’s work didn’t end. Where the blood of martyrs fell, faith took root, and today hope and forgiveness are transforming this nation.
Friends and family of martyr Hector McMillan traveled to Congo in 2014 to participate in the commemorations and capture the story of what God has done in the 50 years since. We’re thrilled to share some of their journey below.
Join with us to remember the sacrifice of those who died and rejoice in God’s redemption.
