Campaign for Maranatha
In the spring of 2025, the gangs moved into the area where we rented a home for Maranatha’s lower school. All the families in the neighborhood fled and the Pacot neighborhood was abandoned, making it unsafe to continue using the school.
Since then, the teachers and staff at Maranatha and the leadership of the UEBH have been praying for a new location for the Elementary School. Just last week, the owner of a property adjacent to the upper school offered to rent their home to the school for the next five years!
This is a huge answer to prayer! Having the two schools together means less administrative burden and fewer security concerns and will facilitate building the new school in the future. The opportunity comes with God-sized challenge:
We must raise $50,000 in the next two weeks to rent the property in order to prepare it in time for the fall semester. Will you help us meet this challenge so that 230 children can continue their schooling?
Many other schools in less safe neighborhoods have closed, leaving few alternatives for Maranatha parents. They are waiting to hear that we have found a place so that their children can go back to school.
Will you help us? Your donation will go directly to helping rent the building and securing the school’s future.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration of this request.
