Overview
Crossworld is a non-profit mission agency based in Kansas City, Missouri, serving as a formative community of disciple-makers from all professions who bring God’s love to life in the world’s least-reached marketplaces. We are seeking a full-time Videographer to join our motivated, entrepreneurial, and mission-focused team.
The Videographer is responsible for capturing and producing compelling visual stories through video and photography that communicate Crossworld’s mission, people, and impact. This role blends videography, photography, storytelling, and content creation to engage audiences across digital platforms, with a strong emphasis on short-form social media video and field-based storytelling.
This position reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing and is a full-time, non-exempt role based at Crossworld’s Kansas City campus, with regular travel required.
Function
The Videographer plays a critical role in advancing Crossworld’s disciple-making vision by visually telling stories from the field (international workers), the church, and the organization. This individual will lead the creation of video and photo content — from concept to final delivery — that builds awareness, deepens engagement, and invites participation in Crossworld’s mission.
The role requires creative initiative, technical excellence, and a strong ability to build trust with field workers and partners while capturing authentic, compelling stories in diverse cultural settings.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Capture and produce high-quality video and photography that tells Crossworld’s stories across social media, web, internal communications, and marketing campaigns.
- Create short-form and long-form video content, with a strong focus on social media platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging channels.
- Travel domestically and internationally to capture stories from international staff, including interviews, environmental footage, and documentary-style storytelling.
Pre-production
- Help develop video concepts, story ideas, and scripts that clearly communicate Crossworld’s mission and vision.
- Plan video projects, including timelines, locations, interview questions, and production needs.
- Coordinate with the Communications team, Digital Marketing Specialist, leadership, and field staff to gather accurate stories and align content with marketing and engagement goals.
- Prepare equipment, schedules, and logistics for shoots, including occasional domestic and international travel.
- Stay informed on video and media trends and recommend best practices for content strategy and storytelling.
Production
- Film video content for social media, web, internal communications, and marketing campaigns.
- Produce short-form and long-form video content for multiple platforms.
- Conduct video interviews with staff, leaders, partners, and international staff.
- Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to ensure high-quality capture in studio and field environments.
- Support video communication from leadership to international staff.
- Assist with photography needs for office staff, training events, international workers, and special projects as needed.
Post-production
- Edit video content, including basic motion graphics, sound mixing, and color correction.
- Adapt and optimize video content for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and the Crossworld website, for various audiences and engagement goals.
- Manage post-production workflows to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain organized media files and archives.
- Collaborate with the Communications and Digital Marketing teams to finalize deliverables and ensure consistency with branding and messaging.
- Participate in staff meetings, prayer times, and team gatherings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong videography and video editing skills.
- Solid photography skills with an eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Experience working with DSLR and mirrorless camera systems.
- Understanding of social media video best practices and platform optimization.
- Strong storytelling instincts and creative vision.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Strong relational skills, especially when working cross-culturally and in ministry contexts.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in videography, video editing, and visual storytelling.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Commitment to Crossworld’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation is a plus.

Location and Hours
This position is based at Crossworld’s Kansas City campus, with work occurring in office, studio, home, and field environments. This job requires the employee to work primarily on campus Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends and travel as needed. The employee must be able to function efficiently working from a private office or from home.

Crossworld holds to biblical standards concerning sexual conduct. We believe the Bible teaches that marriage is to be a lifelong union between one man and one woman, and that the sexual relationship is to be enjoyed uniquely within the context of marriage (Gen. 1:26-27; Ex. 20:14; 1 Cor. 6:18 - 7:4; Gen. 18:20; Lev. 20:13; Rom. 1:26-27). Because of our understanding of the biblical teaching on this matter, Crossworld does not employ or retain for employment individuals engaged in sexual conduct outside of the bounds of a heterosexual marriage relationship.
Physical Requirements
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk, hear, use their hands and fingers to operate office technology, is often required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. This employee should be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds periodically. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position and is classified as exempt. The employee is guaranteed a generous benefits package which includes medical coverage, life insurance, and retirement benefits. Annual vacation begins at 10 days, with 12 paid holidays; additionally, 10 sick days are allotted on January 1 each year. Paid time off (vacation and sick days) will be pro-rated for 2026 based on the first full month of full-time employment with Crossworld.
