No Travel Required: How You Can Make Disciples of All Nations
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Does disciple-making only happen in countries across the ocean? The 2014 Crossworld Pastors’ Forum focuses on a reality much closer to home: The Unreached at Our Doorstep.
At the Forum in Philadelphia on March 13, three practitioners shared about how they’re serving internationals in the Philadelphia area, some challenges in the ministry, and ideas for how anyone can get involved.
“Networking with other pastors around [this] vital subject area of mission was invaluable and encouraging,” said a participant from the Philadelphia area.
Disciple-making is about helping people to live and love like Jesus by imparting God’s truth through authentic relationships wherever life happens. The practitioners at the Pastors’ Forum are doing just that, and so can you.

Here are ways you can serve the unreached in your city:
- Look for opportunities to meet internationals.
- Pray for them and for disciples of Jesus to show them God’s love.
- Invite them to your home for a meal.
- Share your story of how God has worked in your life.
- Come alongside ministries already serving internationals and use your skills to meet practical needs through English conversation classes, airport pick-ups, shopping, driving lessons, etc.
