Where Is Home?
“Home, sweet home,” I heard as the plane landed. On our last leg of a short-term trip to an East Asian country last June, we met a missionary couple on the flight who were on their way back to the land they called home. As I heard the man utter these words, I wondered if this East Asian country — the land of wonder — would ever feel like home to me....
Here is what Jesus says about home in John 14:23: “Jesus answered him, ‘If anyone loves me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.’” Praise God, He is home to me.
Avery and Shane recently moved to East Asia to make disciples.
