One Instrument in God’s Orchestra of Salvation
IRELAND — Recently a young Polish woman named Lena was baptized at the church we attended for many years. We haven’t met her, but we (and you!) were one of the instruments in an orchestra God used to bring her to salvation.
Let me tell you how.
As my husband and I packed up our house in Ireland to move, we found some craft supplies, children’s toys, and other things we didn’t want to move … including some Bible booklets in Polish.
I offered them to Klara, Lena’s sister who attends our church. Klara and her family were getting ready to leave on vacation, so she put the items in their shed to sort after they returned.
While they were away, Lena came to house-sit for them. She was looking for something and went to the shed in search of it. The box containing the booklets fell from its shelf, and when she realized they were in Polish, she took one back to the house to read.
When Klara and her family returned from vacation, Lena told them about the gospel message she read in the booklet from the shed. She trusted Christ as her Savior right on site.
Now, a year later, she is still in Ireland — learning English, working, and gathering with God’s people to worship Jesus.
Thank you for being part of Lena’s story by praying for the unreached!
“…You also [join] in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons…” (2 Corinthians 1:11).
Crossworld worker Judy and her husband, Lawrence, served in Ireland for 15 years.
