“I Want New Life in Jesus!”

SENEGAL — “This life is no good,” Moussa said. “It’s hard.”
Crossworld worker Richard met Moussa at the grocery store and struck up a conversation with him.
Moussa shared with Richard, “I don’t like my job. I can’t make enough money to support my family, and my wife and I don’t want to keep living with my parents. I want to give my kids a better life than this.”
“I’m sorry to hear life is difficult for you and your family, but there’s good news for you in Jesus,” Richard said. “Do you believe in Jesus? Have you met Him?”
“I believe in Him, but I haven’t met Him.”
“Jesus is alive!” Richard continued. “He died on the cross but was resurrected and lives today. He offers you His new life.”
“Jesus will give me new life?” Moussa asked. “Will he give me a new job and more money?”
Richard explained, “He might not change your circumstances immediately, but He will give you a new joy, hope, and peace that you have never known before. He will give you wisdom and guide you in providing for your family. Do you want this new life in Jesus?”
Moussa, overflowing with excitement from the good news he just heard, exclaimed, “Yes! I want new life in Jesus!”
Moussa quickly shared his new faith with his wife and she has believed as well. Through their faith in Jesus, their broken family is being restored. Both Moussa and his wife are now experiencing this new joy, hope, and peace they’ve never felt before.
