“Hallelujah, I have found Him.”
WEST ASIA — Ding! Crossworld worker Jennifer’s phone chirped. She picked it up to read the text from her friend, Niza: I want to talk to you. Will you come visit me?
Jennifer drove to meet Niza, and the two friends caught up on life over tea and snacks.
“By the way,” Niza said. “I’ve stopped doing my daily prayers.”
“Wait, what?” asked Jennifer. “Why?”
“I’m tired of praying in a language I don’t speak,” Niza answered. “They’re just memorized words, and I’m done with that. I want my prayers to mean something.”
Jennifer paused, then asked, “If you’re not praying, how are you seeking God?”
Niza glanced around the room, then leaned in toward Jennifer. “That’s what I want to talk to you about. I’ve been having one dream over and over for a few months now. I’ve had dreams like this before, and I always feel the same peace as I feel when you and I are talking about God. I think God is trying to tell me something.”
Niza had shared about her dreams before — dreams where Jennifer was teaching her about God or where she was prompted to ask Jennifer about Jesus. The two had talked freely about their faith, though Niza hadn’t been ready to pursue Jesus. But this conversation seemed different.
“What happened in your dream this time?” Jennifer asked.
“I was standing in a big field,” Niza said. “It was very peaceful and filled with light. There were lots of people around, and the same song was playing over and over. I don’t remember all the words, but this one line has stuck in my heart: ‘Hallelujah, I have found Him.’”
Niza had closed her eyes to remember the dream, and now she opened them to look directly at Jennifer. “What do you think that means?” she asked.
Jennifer took a deep breath and began to share once again about Jesus. Together, they looked over the last few years of Niza’s life — at how God had been revealing Himself to her already.
“Jesus is calling you,” Jennifer said.
Niza sat still, then said, “I think you might be right.”

Your part in this story...
Crossworld worker Jennifer asks you to pray for these requests.
- Ask God to continue to reveal himself to Niza. Pray she will know His presence, His peace, and the new way of living He offers.
- Pray for me and other Crossworld workers to display the grace of a hospitable God. May the joy of the Lord be palpable through us, and may we be ready to give a reason for the hope that we have.
- Pray for unreached people around the world — that God will meet them in their dreams and they will someday join Niza in saying, “Hallelujah, I have found Him!”
